Family Villa in Provence, France

Picturesque self-catering accommodation set in the heart of Provence, South of France with a heated pool and large garden.

The ground floor consist of a large kitchen dining area and spacious lounge with two comfy sofas and TV. There are two double bedrooms on the ground floor, both with ensuite bathrooms and king size beds. A further downstairs WC and shower room.

The First Floor, which consists of a double bedroom, with king size bed, Shower/WC, second kitchen and a relaxing sitting room with a sofa bed and TV.

Location

Sillans La Cascade lies in the heart of Provence, 15 miles South of the Lac St Croix, 25 miles inland from the bay of St. Tropez and one hour east of Aix-en-Provence.

The nearest large town is Draguignan, 15 miles to the east, but the towns of Cannes, Monaco, Nice and Grasse are all easily accessible. Nice and Marseille airports are both approximately 1hour 20 mins by car.

A few reasons its a great place to stay.

  • We do recommend a car… you can fly in to Nice or Marseille, both about 1hr 20min drive, or drive across France which is about 11hrs from Calais.
  • The house has plenty of room with lots of areas for adults, teenagers and children to find their own space.
  • Its secluded, but a short drive from lots of activities, below are just a few examples…
  • The ancient railway line passing the house is now tarmacked and called the European cycle way miles of almost private cycling, I am told it will eventually join Spain to Italy, so bring your bikes and have some fantastic rides.
  • Golf Putting greens and driving range – 15 minutes drive.
  • Hang gliding and flights 15 minutes road to Lorgue. – 15 minutes drive.
  • Sillans Waterfall 5 minutes walk from the house. With viewing platform. (This is stunning and worth the visit)
  • Ancient inhabited cliffs Caves at Cotignac – 15/20 minutes drive.
  • Waterfall and caves at Villecroze – 15 minutes drive.
  • Lake St Croix and Gorge de Verdun – 30 minutes drive. (This is very Famous and stunning, kids love it to as plenty to do)
  • Aups Markets and famous Truffle markets. – 15 minutes drive.
  • Neolithique caves at St Barthelemey Valley – 15 minutes drive or 20 Minutes by Cycle Way.
  • Canoe and kayak rental in Carces – 25min drive.
  • PLEASE NOTE

    Whilst our family, from grandchildren to grandparents, have all used the house quite safely for many years at all ages, please be aware that the pool is not enclosed and the property contains steps, terraces and uneven surfaces which may make it unsuitable for unsupervised young children, anyone requiring mobility assistance and anyone frail or infirm.
